| Cardinal | |
![]() |
When impious thoughts
have taken root, or
on those awful occasions after a party when you've found yourself
coveting
the neighbour's ox ... or worse... the neighbour's found you coveting
your own ox! It is always a kindness to
help sinners back to the path of righteousness, guided by the light of
their pain. This
is what the Cardinal is designed for...
A 9" deerskin spiral braid finished in a square knot and half moon keeper, gives way to six 5" long, square, latigo lashes, which are extremely sharp. The 6" handle is made of oak, appropriately stained black, with a round leather lace keeper. Particularly good for self flagellation.

Venial |
|
![]() |
The
Venial is a
perfect remedy for those
annoying and tedious lower grade sins like being overly pleased with
oneself
or wilfully expressing a (wrong) opinion. Short, sharp and
localised,
the Venial produces a delightful 'stippling' effect a la Roy
Liechtenstein,
and the piety inducing sensation builds up with gratifying speed.
A well known store owner friend of ours once said that the Venial is
"what nipples were made for". I don't think that's entirely true,
but I know what she means. Approximately 16" in overall length, the Venial consists of 3" of goatskin spiral braid, giving way to two round braids of 1.5" length each, finishing off with four 7" tails, each containing three tight bloodknots. Mounted on a 7" oak handle, the Venial also has a flatbraided wriststrap. Cdn $119.95 |

Eve |
|
![]() |
Some time ago a
pro domme asked us about the possibility of scaling
up a Venial to give it more kinetic energy. So we had a go, and
liked
the result so much we decided to keep it. She was called Eve, so
it just seemed right to name the piece after her. The sin, after
all, was originally hers.
Everything about
Eve is scaled up, including
the width of the tails
and handle. There are 32 bloodknots.
Overall lash length is 20"and the total overall length excluding the wriststrap is 27".

Redeemer |

Shame
on you people! The Redeemer is one of our more overlooked and
underestimated pieces, and that is tremendously shameful.
It's a more traditional type of penitent, made of stiff, scratchy seagrass. People have told me that when they used this piece on a new partner, the response is invariably along the lines of "wtf was that!?!!". It's one of those sensations that are outside most people's experience, though very rewarding in its way. Seagrass is not called seagrass for nothing, of course, and one of its attributes is that it holds water quite well. So a fun way to play with this is to soak the tails in warm or cold water for a while before playing. Very refreshing in the summer. Less so in the winter... Handle -
Grapevine braid in
black 3mm round
leather lace.
Lash - Ten 18" Seagrass tails. Cdn $40.35 |

Torquemada
|
![]() |
|
Another shamefully overlooked piece, the
Torquemada is named for the
infamous
chief of the Spanish Inquisition. Like its namesake, it is
torturously complex. Each Torquemada is intricately constructed
from
an
awful lot of 2mm round leather cord, knotted, braided and woven into a
totally unique piece. It's very springy and responsive, and
can be used very effectively for light teasing, though where it excels
is in reducing a willing subject to something that looks like
exceedingly rare roast beef. Fans love the fact that it's so
portable, always ready, and that it is so light to use, you can keep
going with it for hours and hours and hours...
Cdn $40.35

Carmelita |
||
![]() |
Based on an actual
disciplina in current use
among nuns in Mexico, but upgraded from sisal twine to a nice heavy
manila
rope, the Carmelita is one toy that will defintely motivate you to
improve
your slatternly behaviour and to at least try and drag your mind out of
the gutter. Fifteen inches of lash includes five inches of hard
spiral
braiding for that freshly scoured feeling, and the ensemble is finished
off with a lovely round leather lace handle braided in a doubled
reverse
half hitch pattern.
