| Leatherbeaten offer perhaps the most droolworthy collection of multitail braided whips on the entire planet. And if you think that's an exaggeration, the following section will show you it isn't. I can't think of any other manufacturer who uses as broad a range of leathers as we do, and nobody who has our repertoire of braids. The combination of those two factors lets us create an artist's pallette of sensations for you to paint with. Here you will find sensations for every occasion, from the gentlest soothing thudding to the most exquisite skin shredding, and everything in between. So, if you're ready, get yourself a nice cup of cocoa, and read on... |

Cat You
cn try all you like, but you're not going to find a better braided Cat
o' Nine anywhere. Each whip is individually weighted
to ensure comfort and fluidity of use; and our ergonomic
handle keeps wear and tear on the user's arm to a minimum.
The business end is composed of nine lovely 24" long lashes of rich, supple deerskin, full of bounce and heft. At play, it is beyond luscious. Braided deer doesn't have the harshness of cow, and the impact is initially felt below (rather than on) the surface of the skin. As it fades, a beautiful tingling warmth spreads out deep down within the muscles. We're not kidding about this. It's great.

Jellicle
Cat
The
Jellicle's eyecatching two tone lash is tightly braided from a medium
weight cowhide. Cowhide tends to be a bit on the harsh side when
braided, and this is what gives this little puppy its
characteristically sharp, stingy
edge. Lots of thud, lots of sting with this one, and the shortish
(16") lashes make it easy to wield in more confined spaces..
Black/White Red/Black Purple/Black Blue/Black. Nine 16" cowhide lashes.
Handle: 8"

Senor
Forkbeard
You're probably
wondering
what this one is
all about, yes? Well, it's a little bit hectic, combining a lot
of
thud with some pretty nasty sting, and with a fair amount of
weight-fuelled
discomfort to boot. The braid on this thing is about the most
unusual
you're likely to see on a whip. It's an eight lace double flat
braid
of heavy garment cowhide, which presents an X - shape in cross section.
That means that although this piece has only five lashes, between them
they carry the weight of ten regular four lace lashes. To
push the point, the bottom two inches or so of each lash forks into two
four lace round braids, each of which is terminated in a bumpy little
hitch
knot. You know, we've said it before about these things, but
Ouchie!

Boutonniere
The
Boutonnière is another interesting
braid, this time a six
lace double flatbraid, cut from heavy 3oz - 4oz, chrome tanned cowhide,
which presents an elliptical profile in cross section. Not quite
as heavy as Senor Forkbeard (above), the Boutonnière gets its
assertiveness
from the little items at the end of each tail, which are chunky Chinese
Button Knots. So it's quite assertive. We're not really
sure
where to place this on that old thud - sting continuum. It's more
like being pummelled by tiny fists wearing miniature boxing gloves.
Available in
black/red, black/blue, black/purple and all black.

Scourge
This
is a devastating little item that is destined to become a BDSM classic
of pocketsized mayhem infliction. We love to make small, harmless
looking things that actually have about as much bite to them as an
fairly large crocodile farm, and this is the latest in a long,
honourable series of them. We have been getting what I can only
describe as rave reviews about this piece. So, what is it? Three
short snappy goatskin lashes, braided around a slender core of 1mm
diameter leather lace, and mounted on a thin flexible rubber
core. The shortness of the lashes means you can be very accurate,
and allows for lots of up-close-and-personal play. Sensations
vary from feather like and fluttery to razor sharp and slashing.
One "reviewer" said his sub could not believe he'd only been using one
piece on her, and went on to add that for two weeks he used nothing but
the Scourge, and just kept finding new sensations with it. We
don't tend to go in for testimonials round here, but we do like to
share, occasionally.

Asp
This
was the piece that got us started on our exploration of flexi
whips. We took a Nikita and mounted it on a 9" flexible core
handle. The
result is an entirely new piece, that has all of the attributes of the
Nikita, and then some. It's faster than the original, for one
thing, which makes it, if anything, even sharper. It still flips
and snaps with tremendous accuracy - you can hit the same spot
repeatedly, over and over again (as if you didn't know what
"repeatedly" means!), and it feels great in the
hand. Of course. It's kind of like a five tailed
singletail...

Mamba
Mamba is a cross between a Cat and and an Asp. We should probably run a contest to win one. It could be the Cat-Asp Trophy. Hey, I just made that up! Oh, where was I? The Mamba is cross between an Asp, and a Cat. It has five thick braided deerskin lashes mounted on a flexible cored handle. It's a lovely whip to use. The pommel knob sits comfortably in the palm of the hand, and the lashes respond instantly to each flick and throw of the wrist. The Mamba's bite is heavier and deeper than the Asp's, and it leaves you with a rich, tingling afterglow that's as sensually satisfying as a mug of hot chocolate on a cold winter night. Cdn $215.00 |

Growltiger
We
were so pleased with the way the Asp and Mamba worked out we decided to
go all the way and start putting the larger whips onto flexi
handles. The Growltiger is based on the Cat, and has all of its
excellent pedigree and manners, such as the lush sensation of warmed
and tingling muscles that you get from braided deerskin. Plus, it has a
very pleasant responsiveness in the hand, and a good deal more speed in
reserve. We think you will like... Cdn $296.50 |

Macavity
And, in keeping with our half baked Cats theme, this is Macavity. It's based on a Boutonniere braid, a six lace double flatbraid, cut from heavy 3oz - 4oz, chrome tanned cowhide, which presents an elliptical profile in cross section. The handle is a core of half inch diameter neoprene rubber covered with an eight lace black herringbone braid. As with the Boutonniere, Macavity gets its assertiveness from the dense Chinese Button Knots at the end of each lash, but it's general air of stroppiness is compounded by the flex in the handle, which adds extra power to the throw. Available in black/red, black/blue, black/purple and all black.

Great
Rumpus Cat Another venture into the realm of the
flexible handle, this is essentially a Jellicle
with a rubber core, rather than a half inch steel rod, and an
eight lace herringbone handle. It has all of the charm of the
Jellie, and it moves more fluidly, generating a lot of kinetic energy
at the tips, and is a dream in the hand, to boot.

Mortal
One
of most
exquisitely nasty whips we, or anyone else, offer, the Mortal oozes a
reptilian charm. Seven deerskin lashes, braided around a core of 1mm
round leather cord, finished with terminal Turks Head knots, on
a beautifully flexible handle. The handle is covered with a very
attractive 8 lace herringbone braid, with pineapple knots top and
bottom. Did I mention that the 1mm round leather lacing extends for an
inch or so beyond the knots? No? Ah, well, sometimes it's the
little things that make all the difference...Mortal can be light and scratchy, or heavy and sharp. The combination of the knots and leather tips, together with the kind of speed the flexi handle gives it, make it one of the great, unique whips. Cdn $318.50 |
